The Can Roig house was built between 1900 and 1901 by Simó Cordomí as a second residence for the Campa family, before being used to accommodate wounded soldiers in the midst of a Republican withdrawal during the Spanish Civil War, at a time when the town of Camprodon was being used as a large military hospital. After the war the building fell into disrepair. The history and heritage of the property is thankfully to be preserved with plans to restore it to its former glory.
