Camera: Sony A7R ii; Lens: Sony 24-105mm; an old Velbon travel/macro tripod; a Benro filter holder with an Ice ND filter; and a baseball cap sitting over the camera and lens to reduce light leaks.Inspiration

It varies as when I'm out - particularly when I'm in places like Malaysia, I tend to do a mix of street, landscape, and nature photography and ideally want to take equipement that'll allow me to do at least a couple of these. I tend to take the Sony A7R ii (as I prefer the size to the current model), a couple of Sony lenses (usually the 24-105mm f/4 as it's very versatile & sharp, and the 20mm f/1.8G as it's sharp from corner to corner). I also take a 3Legged Thing 'Brian' tripod as it's incredibly light and folds down to approx 35-37cm - and it's now replaced the Velbon. I also take a Benro 100mm filter holder and a variety of Lee & Ice 100mm ND and ND grad filters as well as an Ice light pollution filter). On top of that I usually take a Leica M with me as it provides a different style and perspective which is useful for capturing the 'feel' of a location. On top of all that I take a load of Sony batteries & SD cards. Generally - I'll take whatever I can fit into a Domke F2 - which surprisingly is all of the above.Feedback
Just be patient with both yourself and with others enjoying the location. It is rare that the lighting conditions will be optimal, especially when you're only visiting a location for a short period of time, and there will always be people wandering into shot, and you wont always have all the gear you need - so work with what you've got - and sometimes it's better to show a location as it is, rather than over-edit and over-saturate a photo to create a stylised ideal. This was just a fairly simple shot; exposed for 30secs using a 100mm ND filter using an older camera and a basic Sony lens, set on a Velbon travel tripod.
