📍 Newlyn ⚓️🎣

I've shot this exact composition once before - but under much different conditions...

The sky was dark and heavy. But as the sun rose at Newlyn, it managed to break through gaps in the cloud to punctuate the gloom with colour.

I first rattled off a couple of "straight shots" (which I may post later), before sticking on the Big Stopper. The filter allowed for a minute-long exposure to flatten the sea and streak the clouds for an artier look.

St Michaels Mount can just about be seen in the background across the bay.

Canon 6D MkII | 24-105mm lens at 24mm | ƒ-16 | 60 sec | ISO 100 | Tripod | 10 stop ND filters | Lightroom & Photoshop | Taken at Newlyn on 10-09-2021
