📍 Wheal Coates 🌊☀️🌊

While driving my lorry for work, I noticed swathes of purple heather near the coast at St Agnes. I knew I had to revisit with my camera. I decided to head for Towanroath Engine House at Wheal Coates mine which makes for a perfect focal point.

As is often the case (with me at least), I may have missed the best of the heather. Although the vibrant yellow gorse was a nice unplanned addition - even if some of it's spikey leaves somehow ended up in my walking boots!

I took this photo about an hour before sunset. Low cloud on the horizon later snuffed out the sun from casting colourful light as it set so I'm glad I bagged this "test" shot. In fact, the light while taking this photo wasn't amazing either - I really had to go to work in post processing (cheating some might say!)
