Location
I took this photo in the studio of my great teacher in Haifa, Israel. He showed us many possibilities for studio photography.Time
The shot was taken early in the evening.Lighting
Two different kind of spots were used, on each side of the model.Equipment
I used Nikon D7000, manual mode. I didn’t use tripod, nor flash. The background was beige colored. I used iso 400, F/5.6, 55 mmInspiration
I am discovering what kind of photography I might like most. I went to the workshop portrait photography in studio. My teacher brought a Japanese model and used many kinds of different lights and attributes. It was a really ‘opening eyes’ workshop. I enjoyed this very much.Editing
I didn’t use any post-processing here. It was a wonderful experience to see what results you can get with just the right settings. In my camera bag
In my daily bag I only have my iPhone 12 Pro Max , in small trips I add my compact camera Nikon Coolpix A900, which is a great camera for quick and good quality and good zoom shots. On bigger trips I add also add my Nikon D7000. I started using this camera (it’s my son’s) first on my beginner’s course 2 years ago and on this workshop before 3 months. Between I almost didn’t use it, because I am still not used to it, and therefore needs more time to prepare the settings. This camera I use without automatic settings, which is still not easy for me. But I won’t give up, even though I don’t have so much time for photography, due to work.Feedback
Never stop learning and trying. Doing workshops is really a good stimulant. And because you are with more people, you get good tips and more ideas. Also in this way you support and help each other.
