I took this photo in our living room. We have a nice view from almost all our windows.Time
This shot is taken at about 10:00 AM. It was a rather cloudy day, halfway January.Lighting
On the left side of this window we can always enjoy the sunrise. At this window we have full sunlight during the morning. This is the reason that I choose this window, so the water would have better reflections.Equipment
I used my iPhone-X for this shot. To get to the level of the window and better light in the water, I put the little table under the glass of water, on another table.Inspiration
My eldest daughter has her own clinic for medical beautician. Because of our mostly dry country, she sees that too many people don't drink enough water. She asked me to make a good picture of a cup of water, in order to use in her Instagram to support people to drink more and to write how important it is not to forget to drink water, results of lack of water and so on.Editing
There was no need to do any post-processing.In my camera bag
First I always have my mobile iPhone-X with me, which make most of the time nice pictures, if you know how to use it. For small, quick trips I always carry my Nikon Coolpix A900 with me. And for bigger trips I bring the Nikon D7000 with me AND the Coolpix A900. Each camera has its own good and bad things. So according the place and situation I use these three cameras.Feedback
If you have natural sunlight in your place, know exactly what times you have what kind of sunlight there and on which level. Then you can use it for many nice kind of shots. Instead of a glass of water, you can also use a glass table to experiment. For my first shot for Viewbug I put a flower on the glass table and put a paper below the table to get nice shadows, for example. It's fun to use natural light and use it as well directly on objects as here the glass of water, as to use for a 'shadow-game' or silhouette.
