Location
This creek is Beardy Waters, 20kms from Glen Innes, NSW, Australia.Time
We were camping here for a few days so I had a couple of late night sessions after my partner had turned in for the evening.Lighting
I've been playing with "painting in" foreground features with a flashlight. This was not the only shot of this view, many of my attempts were complete rubbish.Equipment
2nd-hand Nikon D3200, AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G, tripod, remote shutter release, handheld flashlight. Folding chair, ginger wine.Inspiration
If you're in a beautiful place for long enough...Editing
Some processing: increased the contrast a bit, pushed the colour saturation a little. In my camera bag
Nikon D3200, a long zoom, a short zoom, a wide-ish prime, remote shutter release, intervalometer, spare capture card, spare batteries, tripod, Olympus Tough submersible camera, flashlight, snacks...Feedback
The beauty of digital photography is how extraordinarily cheap it is. When I started taking photos (a thousand years ago) every shutter press cost money. Now we can afford to experiment. Take lots of shots, bracket your exposures, play with lighting, take risks. Enjoy.
