There's a magical place next to the Welcome Center in Ocean City, New Jersey. Go to the edge of the parking lot and look down. A delightful view of a full-on natural Heron rookery will greet you. In early spring, you can see various stages of nest-building, egg-laying, hatching, and fledging of these glorious birds. Truly a worthwhile visit.
