Behind The Lens

Location

These cornflowers were in abundance along the Jordan Creek. Seen on the trail at Covered Bridge Park, Allentown, PA.

Time

Mid-afternoon.

Lighting

The subtle indirect light coming through the dense vegetation along the creek created the perfect mood I was looking for. I liked it and went with it.

Equipment

Camera: Panasonic Lumix FZ300 (hand held).

Inspiration

These flowers seem to portray a variety of emotions. Here we see one flower of bright yellow petals, reaching upward in a winsome, joyful-looking pose, while its wilting neighbor depicts sadness. The blurry, happy bloom in the distance appears to be spelling out, "YAY!"

Editing

Minimal processing...Increased saturation...slight vignetting.
