Festival Action photography. Taken at Bearded Theory Festival, near Staffordshire, in 2016 as part of an ongoing project showing the unusual and surreal life and activity that happens at festivals in Britain and around the world. Basically , this is the street photography of a temporary city. I had forgotten and pushed this image to the back of a file, not knowing where to place it or what i wanted it to say, until I saw the title of a challenge on Viewbug and it popped into my head that this was exactly what this action shows. I loved the completely subversive activity of the children and the man drinking behind, all of which seemed totally contrary to the intention of the pop up garden which was meant to promote peace, mindfulness, and good health. A little irony in a typical sunny day at a British Festival. Event Photography
