Found in freshwater lakes and rivers from North Carolina to Florida and throughout the U.S. South East. Gator Trout (also known as Alli-trout) feature a rainbow of colors along their long, tube shaped bodies. More docile than the aggressive Croc-a-Shark, the largest Gator Trout ever caught weighed 150 lbs. Gator Trout are nocturnal and feature eyes that glow at night. Gator Trout make a croaking or grunting noise as a method of communication. They feed on smaller fish, but have been known to take dogs and small animals wading in the water around their nests.
