Abstract nature landscape Photography. taken from the side of the water of one of the lakes nestled in the levels of Parys Mountain near Amlwch on the Isle of Anglesey , also known as Copper Mountain as it was at the heart of the copper industry in North wales and still shows its scars. My children named this Wolf Lake some years ago , and if you look at the log protruding from the still waters you may be able to see why. From this angle it appears as though a wolf has been swimming in the water and just popped its head up to say hello. The Log itself has hardly changed in many years of visiting , one can only assume that it is somehow being preserved by all the heavy metals and minerals in the water, as in truth no living creature would dare to swim there and hope to come out alive. This lake is one of two that were used as water sources during the mining on the mountain , the other we know as Rust Lake , or Blood Lake depending on the time of year and how much of the rusty metal rock has leached into its waters with the winter rains.
