Minimalist Abstract Landscape Photography. Taken just as light was reaching beyond the horizon behind the shadowy contours of the slumbering port of Holyhead and it's ever watchful mountain. This image was captured with a double exposure and handheld exptended exposure . It was taken from a seated position to ensure a relatively low POV adding to the exaggeration of scale of the harbour light cage which seems to loom over the landscape like the mountain symbolically proving it's importance in maintaining the well-being of the inhabitants of the sea , just as the mountain helps protect the dwellers on the land. The rich pastel tonal colour palette on this particular morning was what I hoped to achieve to work symbiotically with the subjects of the landscape and their order and geometry in a composition which should fill the spirit with warmth and relaxation.
