Hi Sandy - this is an amazing shot. I was wondering who you took this shot since the foreground is well exposed even thouge their is a relatively bright background. Is the birds image overlayed on a background in PS? Wither way it is a wondferful image! Kurt

Location
The photo was taken in one of my favorite locations for nature photography - Ft. Desoto Park in St. Petersburg, FloridaTime
The shot was taken in the morning.Lighting
Nothing special to share about the lighting - just the natural morning lighting.Equipment
The camera was a Canon 70D equipped with a Canon 100-400 L series lensInspiration
This particular osprey has made it's nest in the exact same spot in the park for over 10 years. It is rare to not find him and his mate close to the nest - even during non breeding season. His offspring, BTW, can be found throughout the park making their own nests. I often stop by in that this bird has given me so many award winning shots including one that was displayed in the Louvre Museum in Paris which also won me a course in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography when it took first place in "Popular Photography" magazine's annual photo contest.Editing
Post processing was simply converting from RAW to JPEG, cropping and optimizing the shot.In my camera bag
I have recently switched from being a Canon shooter to a Sony shooter and now carry a Sony A9 II with Sony 100-400 mm GM lens - a very popular rig with professional photographers - especially nature and sports photographers. I hand carry it with just a wrist strap and have rarely used a tripod.Feedback
