Race with usually 6 to 12 blue-purple, or pink, broad bell-shaped, fairly large flowers.
This wild hyacinth-like specimens, that you can find in the wild, were created by crossing wild hyacinth (Hyancinthoides non-scripta) and Spanish hyacinth (Hyacinthoides hispanica) and are called cross hyacinth. They grow in moist, nutrient-rich soil in deciduous forests. It is quite common along the inner edge of the dune. Elsewhere it is rare. It flowers from mid-April to early May and grows to a height of 15 to 50 cm.

I read in your descriptor that it was a hybrid of some sort, part hyacinth, part.......something else. Still it's all beautiful :)
