I've NEVER seen one of these beauties before, but I couldn't believe it when I was walking past my living room and saw this big bright beauty sitting outside my window! I bought two Oriole feeders (one nectar feeder and one handmade feeder for orange slices) in hopes that the colour would attract them... and it worked! I was a little skeptical because we just bought our house in the country and I've never seen what spring birding has to offer but I figured I'd give it a go. Once I saw that he was frequenting my house, I slipped a few orange slices in a tree branch right about a meter from my window, removed the screen, cranked it open and patiently waited for him to come for those fresh citrus slices! He was not a shy guy. :)
