It was taken in my living roo while McGee was sitting near a window. I told him not to knock things over and he gave me this face and quite the attitude with it!Time
It was mid afternoon and I have window that face west. McGee is the only cat out of my 4 who doesnt seem to get hot while bathing in the sun. He can sit for hours in it.Lighting
I love to shoot with natural light when & wherever possible and the sun was blasting in my windows. There is even a red reflection on his neck because the sun was shining through a piece of stained glass.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7200, which is great with my basic 50mm lens when I want to get close but not too close. I also like to, if I can get it, perfect. I use my crop tools to get the effects I want.Inspiration
I am always taking pictures of my cats. They're so cute that they seem to lend themselves to me any time I have my cameras out.Editing
I do crop to get the desired effects and sensationalism that I want. I also use the basic controls in my editing program, such as saturation and contrast. However I prefer natural lighting most of the time.I takeIn my camera bag
I take my d7000 and my most versatile 2 lenses which are my macro & my 80-200 telephoto. I also have an old Nikon film camera that I tuck in my pocket occasionally.PFeedback
Patience! If you know anything about cats, it's that they never stay still long enough, or look at you while you're shooting. I use bribes, little pieces of dry food, to get them to look or move. All the rest is dumb luck!
