' Oblivious ' , was taken as part of an ongoing creative art project examining the disconnection between humanity and the world around them , both human and environmental in an ever expanding age of technology , individual and cultural freedom , which ironically seems to be increasing the isolation in human relationships with their surroundings rather than reducing it. This image , taken whilst also working on a study of the London Underground system and the people that use it , became title piece in the collection which was initially inspired by a street art juxtaposition I had taken . The image was taken using an experimental technique I am working with creating an individual illustrative creative style to many of my pieces of street photography. Taken using my vintage Olympus OM2SP and black and white film stock , then rephotographed instead of scanned from the developed copy to add further manipulations in ISO , grain and contrast to produce a gritty newspaper print effect . The final digital copy in this case was given colourisation in lightroom , a variety of colour grades have been produced and an eventual work using all of these in a repeat pattern which will further exaggerate the speed of movement from the panning lines of the tube train will be a final abstract art work.
