Behind The Lens

Location

In my kitchen, at the dining table, while my family was forced to eat outside. There were no complaints though, as long as I made them dinner

Time

Around 1pm, lunch time, and I was starving. Nobody warned me about getting so hungry while taking photos of food.

Lighting

Just this big ring light I saved up for months and got online. Local youtubers were using it and I thought it looked great

Equipment

Just my old Canon 700d, which I have been using since 2nd year in college. That's 5 years ago now

Inspiration

It was the thick of the pandemic and everyone was starting a food business. My friends were too, but I noticed they didn't have photos they could advertise with online. I figured I could try getting into food photography and then when I have enough photos I can offer to take theirs for them.

Editing

Just a little, I made adjustments to the white balance cause I figured it would look more appetizing with warmer colors. A little vignette action too just to add more focus to the food.

In my camera bag

Just my camera and a couple lenses. Prime lens and a wide lens.

Feedback

I guess with food photography, it's better to have more excess food so you can have more freedom with styling. Also cause someone else with you might wanna eat it
