Abstract Architectural Design Art Photography in Black and White. The image is a close up study of the Design details of the now iconic Lloyds of London Building in The City District of London in the UK. Taken at a sharp angle from a low POV incorporating the bends of the building and the reflective architecture of the curved glass buildings in the background seen by including the bend around the corner and using a wide angle lens in portrait . The image was taken at a point in the afternoon when the natural light source was bright and pointing at the subject and increasing the contrast by having a high ISO and using the grain to add a dramatic industrial style to the industrial looking subject. The title was chosen to conjure up a multi layered meaning , on the surface , it describes the physical characteristics of the building itself , but the subtext , and the amusing irony that arises from choosing a building that is bent to be a symbol of a British Bank , is a representation of the way society has begun to view the banking system when ' bent' is a slang term for something corrupted , twisted and skating close to the edge of the Law.
