Taken on an extreme ride up Mount Snowdon , the highest mountain in Wales , UK. This is a unique action portrait of a cyclist , not in motion on their bike , but telling the story of what it is really like trying to push your skills and your bike to the limit on an extreme ride. The photograph was taken at a point near to the top of the mountain past the last mountain train station on an incredibly tight and jagged stretch between the Rangers and Miners Paths. The original Photograph was taken on film using my old Olympus OM2SP and black and white vintage film stock then processed for digital using one of my own preferred artistic choices by rephotographing the image rather than scanning it using Max Grain and high ISO for a heavy news print like quality , on this occasion this was done using a coloured light filter which added a tinge of light and saturation which enhanced the steep angular perspective I had chosen of the bikes and mountainside by taking the shot from a low POV with a certain degree of shallow depth . Action Sports Photography in the extreme.
