My favorite WW2 plane. Made right here in Grand Prairie TX. Nice shot!

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Paine Field in Everett during a Saturday Fly Day event.

Time

It was taken around midday so the lighting was not optimum but with the cloud cover it worked out quite well

Lighting

Cloud cover helped with the flatter, midday lighting giving the subject some depth and contrast.

Equipment

A Canon EOS 60D. I did use a 135-300mm zoom lens, no tripod.

Inspiration

I've loved airplanes my entire life. The sight and sounds thrill me. I especially like this particular aircraft so I was very happy to get the shot.

Editing

I did a bit with Adobe LightRoom to balance the color and enhance the sky.

In my camera bag

Mostly just my Canon EOS60D. I also carry some graduated filters I use on occasion.

Feedback

Just be patient and get to the photo opportunity early to get the best possible position for the best shot.
