This shot was taken outside my house. As an amateur photographer, I tend to let the world around me express my photography. This young raccoon gave me the perfect shot as it sat up, eating a peanut .Time
This shot was taken in the early evening. Since I do not believe in using flashes with wildlife, I was happy the lighting was just right to highlight the cute little thing.Lighting
I do not use flashes or other lighting sources with wildlife, the natural light, highlighted the raccoon and flora perfectlyEquipment
I use a Nikon D850, with a 400mm lens. I try not to use flashes, tripods or other devices for my photography with wildlife.Inspiration
Inspiration for this photo is solely on the raccoon. She was in the perfect place, at the right time, posing in just the right way.Editing
I do not do post processing on my photography. I believe the shot I take should reflect what I am seeing at that momentIn my camera bag
As far as what equipment I carry, I am a minimalist- typically I carry my camera, with the lens I want to use at that time, throw it over my shoulder and hike into the woods- I rarely carry anything else, other than an extra battery.Feedback
My inky advise to those trying to take similar pictures, is to grab your camera and hike out into the woods. Then, take in your environment and watch, listen and enjoy. Let nature come to you and do not have expectations on what you want to photograph. Instead, enjoy and take it all in
