Behind The Lens
Location
This photograph was taken at Table Rock State Park in South Carolina.Time
I took this photograph late by photographers standards around 9:30 am but it was really cloudy that day so I can get away with breaking the rules.Lighting
At the time the lighting was perfect because it was cloudy. I normally get up really early to get a shot like this but with rain in the forecast I was able to get an extra hour or two of shut eye before taking off on the hour and a half drive that morning. I love Cloudy day's and waterfalls.Equipment
The equipment I used here was as alway's my 5d canon, 16/35 lens, and my Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
My inspiration for this really is just a love for slow shutter speed photography. I love to show motion or freeze action when taking photographs.Editing
I did take the high lights down and bring the shadows up, Added a little on the colors and that is all when it comes to post-processing.In my camera bag
In my bag I have a 5d mark4, a 7d mark2, 16/35 lens,24/70 lens, 24mm lens, 70/200 lens.Feedback
If you like waterfalls the only advice I can give you is get up early or make sure it will be cloudy when you take your photographs. Understand which way the sun comes up and sets. Make sure the wind is not blowing, nothing is worse than trying to take a slow shutter speed photograph than having the wind blow the trees around. Have fun & enjoy what you do.
