Location
This is a composite of photos I have shot, images from my pc and images I have created in PhotoshopTime
The photo elements in the image were taken at various times of the day. The composite image was completed in around a day.Lighting
The crows were shot in daylight. The young girl (my great niece) was shot using a speedlight. The overall colour was done in Photoshop and the lighting was done in Lightroom.Equipment
For the photo elements in the composite I used a Nikon D90. When in use the speedlight was a Nikon SB-910.Inspiration
I was inspired to do a couple of chess related, surreal type images having watched the Netflix series 'The Queen's Gambit'.Editing
Lots of post processing using Photoshop (Layers, layer styles and blending) and Lightroom for a bit of dodge and burn.In my camera bag
Camera - Nikon D850. Lens - Tamron G2 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8. Speedlights - Nikon SB910 and SB-700. Off camera triggers - Pixel King Pro.ND400 and ND1000 filters.Feedback
I like surreal type images. I have used photoshop and lightroom for many years and they (and add ons such as Nik's texture effects) allow me to create the ideas that pop into my head. The contents of such composites can come from many sources both from photos as well as creating artwork from scratch. Open your mind to the surreal and don't restrict the limits of your imagination.
