Location
I took this photo in my back garden while looking for interesting subjects to photograph during lockdown I came across these ladybirds hibernating on a shrubTime
It was taken in the morning on a cold and frost dayLighting
I used natural lightEquipment
I have just recently bought a macro lens for my Canon camera and wanted to try it outInspiration
The concept of there being a whole world that's right in front of us but we don't see is what excites me about macro photographyEditing
Apart from a slight crop this is from the cameraIn my camera bag
I always carry spare batteries and memory cards aswell as my Canon camera and 50mm prime lens, I now include the macro lensFeedback
A tripod and remote shutter release cable is a must inorder to keep the camera steady and setting manual focus so you are in control A screw on macro lens would work if funds are tight but a dedicated macro lens would be best
