A long view of the landscape seen on either side of the Menai Straits in winter taken from a low POV from the shoreline of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales Mainland in the UK. The mountainside beyond touched with snow is in contrast to the bare beauty of the shingle shore dappled with evening light . A complex setting in varying light and weather conditions as despite the brighter light hitting the beach in the foreground the dull light , building forest mist and descending cloud on the mountainous background added to the difficulty of achieving the right technical settings on the camera to maintain a level of detail in the landscape itself , especially in the black and white format .
