Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken during an online Morton Arboretum Pumpkinfest for 2020 for Glass artists due to the Covid-19 issue.Time
It was taken Mid-day or soLighting
The lighting sometimes works best if you can catch the natural sun striking the glass art piece from behind but this piece the natural sunlight was coming from in front of the Art Piece.Equipment
This was a simple shot taken with a cellphone actually, nothing so fancy, just very close up at the right time to catch the sunlightInspiration
I try to capture inside the Glass artists various creations they have created for the PumpkinfestEditing
I always work with the Apple photo programs for editing and enhancing the hidden magiks I find in the objects that I photo. I also have other programs to use though I prefer the Apple program. In my camera bag
I use a Sony camera and my bag is full of the various models as they have improved over the years. I generally use a wide angle lens, even for my macro shots as it is basically what I see with my one eye, my other eye is false so I am already seeing only 2 dimensional... I have to imagine the 3D the photo may show. I also have a regular telephoto which I find if used correctly or in a different frame of mind kind also get some great Macro shots. It does not need to be used just for long distance shots!!! I also carry several small flexible tripods for those odd shots where a regular standing tripod is too big or cumbersome and you need to wrap the tripod around a pole or branch to get the shot. I also carry many extra battery /power sources to keep things going during cruise trips on a local site with lots to shoot. Mophie's are my favorite spare power source.Feedback
Take lots of shots, try to use imagination in what a shot will turn out to be and don't be afraid to play with all you camera settings!!! Even cell phone cameras are catching some amazing photos nowadays!!!
