In 1877, the German merchant Paul Franz Theodor Sträter made the country estate available to the Benedictine Sisters. In 1879 the house was given a wing on the west side and in 1883 a neo-Gothic chapel with a bell tower. The monastery complex called nun Arca Pacis (Ark of Peace) was walled. In 1912 an extra floor was added to the main house with a stepped gable in neo-Renaissance style.
