Yellowstone National Park keeps one road across the northern part of the park open during the winter. In February 2020 I drove this road back and forth looking for animals to photograph in their winter environment. One overcast morning just after sunrise I saw this bison not far from the road, covered in snow from the previous night's snowfall.
