I drove to Pyramid Lake near Jasper, Canada a little before sunset, hoping to capture a sunset image at the lake. I didn't find any good compositions at the lake, so just after sunset I decided to follow a foot path from the shore into a forest that had a mix of aspen and evergreens. I walked slowly up the path looking for good compositions in the chaos of trees, as well as for any bears lurking in the trees. I didn't find any compositions (or bears), so I turned around and went back down the trail, when I saw this scene from my reversed perspective. I used the trail as a leading line through the grove of aspens in the twilight.
