Behind The Lens

Location

It was Eastern time. I traveled to Venice with my daughter and son-in-law and had a very nice 4 days trip. They had their fun and I had my fun with a Nikon D300. And this is the result of my wandering in Venice.

Time

It was late in the afternoon. I got near Grand Canale. The Sun has disappeared but the gorgeous light was still there. I reached the top of the stairs. I didn't have a tripod so I put the camera on a stone fence in front of the Grand Canale and took a couple of images. This is one of them.

Lighting

I used the ambient light and everything was normal. No artificial lights beside the lights of the buildings.

Equipment

I had a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 18-200mm lens.

Inspiration

I studied architecture at the university so I wanted to show the architectural texture of Venice. The Grand Canale and the time of the day helped me to present it in an art form.

Editing

Not much. But as usual, I used Adobe Lightroom. I enhance the clarity and a bit Vibrance and some local adjustments.

In my camera bag

Well, it depends on what I am into. These days I am more into street photography and I always carry a Nikon Z50 with a 16-50mm lens.

Feedback

Wait until the moment comes.
