Location
This photo was taken from the top of the Prudential Building in Boston.Time
This photo was shot in mid-afternoon on a hot August day.Lighting
The lighting was a bit tough as I was shooting through a polarized window with bright sunlight, shadows from the buildings and trees with an old time film camera, with no light meter.Equipment
The camera was an old time Mamiya Sekor with a 50mm lens and I was shooting on Kodachrome.Inspiration
I was doing a personal photo shoot of Boston as I lived in the area. This was in 1980. It has hung on my wall since. As an aside, a friend of mine in Georgia and formerly of Boston saw it and after sharing notes on when taken, and she lived in the apartment in the lower left and was home at the time. She had a sick child and didn't leave the apartment all summer. Small World and that Child is now 40.Editing
Minor cropping and tone correction as the digital copy of the photo was off a bit from the original. In my camera bag
Nikon D750 with 2 Nikkor lenses, Canon EOS with varied Canon lenses and a Sony Cybershot for quick picture taking opportunities.Feedback
Go with your gut and work the lighting and framing.
