Here on the coast of Batanes you can feel the isolation of the northermost island in the Philippines, closer to Taiwan than Manila. The immensity of the ocean reminds the observer to cling to the meager footings available.

One thing to be remembered in this place: They have an ordinance that nobody can buy a piece of land in this place if you are not a particular resident in this breathtaking place. Great protection of the Native People. You know what I mean, the rich would like to buy everything and own everything but not this place.
