Location
I love nature, so for this "photo shoot", I went to Three Rivers, Ca. There are multiple nice places to take pictures there.Time
This picture was taken around 3:30 in the afternoon. It is obviously set in the fall, so the sun is a little lower than usual. It was at the perfect angle, which is why I chose this tree.Lighting
I use the sun to create a lens flare in many of my photos, including this one. The picture was taken facing the sun with the trunk of the tree blocking the sun itself, only leaving the rays of light that were coming through the leaves of the tree.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D750 with a 1/60 shutter speed, f/25, ISO 125, and a lense length of 140mm.Inspiration
I often take photos using natural lighting with no post-processing. Using the sun is one of my favorite ways to do this. When I saw all of the beautiful red leaves, I knew it would be a great photo.Editing
No processing was used.In my camera bag
The first thing that I always have with me is my different lenses. The one I use the most is my 18-140mm lens (1:3.5-5.6). The second lens that I use the most is a 70-300mm lens (1:4.5-6.3). I also carry a Ultimax Studio Series HD 0.43x Wide Angle 58mm Lens (Macro). I also have a 58mm, 2.2x, Telephoto Lens. I do have a 500mm, f/8.0 Multi-Coated Telephoto Lens, but my bag is not very big so I usually only take it if I know I will be using it. All of my lenses have a UV filter on them to prevent scratches and fingerprints just in case. There items in my bag that I always carry in case, but I usually do not or rarely use them. These are an external flash, an attachable CPL Filter, and an FL-D Filter. I also carry a cleaning kit just in case.Feedback
Just go for it. You won't know how something will turn out unless you try. Remember, as Robert Capa says, "If your photo isn't good enough, it's probably not close enough."
