Location
This was taken in Three Rivers, Ca. It is one of my favorite places to take photos.Time
This was taken at about 5:30 in the evening.Lighting
I chose to take this photo in the evening so the sun was starting to set. As a result of this, the sun was bouncing off the water.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D750 with a 1/80 shutter speed, f/36, ISO 63, and a lense length of 140mm.Inspiration
I had originally been trying to create a sun flare in the picture. However, because the sun was setting and bouncing off the water the picture kept coming out overexposed. This is when I got the idea to underexpose the photo and create the shadowy silhouettes with the men.Editing
There was no post-processing involved in this photo. In my camera bag
The first thing that I always have with me is my different lenses. The one I use the most is my 18-140mm lens (1:3.5-5.6). The second lens that I use the most is a 70-300mm lens (1:4.5-6.3). I also carry a Ultimax Studio Series HD 0.43x Wide Angle 58mm Lens (Macro). I also have a 58mm, 2.2x, Telephoto Lens. I do have a 500mm, f/8.0 Multi-Coated Telephoto Lens, but my bag is not very big so I usually only take it if I know I will be using it. All of my lenses have a UV filter on them to prevent scratches and fingerprints just in case. There items in my bag that I always carry in case, but I usually do not or rarely use them. These are an external flash, an attachable CPL Filter, and an FL-D Filter. I also carry a cleaning kit just in case.Feedback
Do NOT be afraid to under or overexpose your images. You might be surprised by the results, just don't go overboard.
