It was late afternoon already, with long shadows from the trees.

Lighting

All natural light here

Equipment

My trusty Canon 7Dmii, 100-400mm lens. No flash. Stabilized on the vehicle's window with bean bag.

Inspiration

Birds are my favorite subject and this summer visitor to South Africa much anticipated. The turkois of the Woodland Kingfisher is something I just can't drive past.

Editing

Not much post-processing here, except for the crop

In my camera bag

I always take everything, to shoot long distance, close-up, landscape and video!
