Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in Washington D.C. near the White House and the Lincoln memorial as Joe Biden became the president-elect.Time
I remember aking up at 6 am to avoid traffic and to get a clear and beautiful shot of the sun grazing over the trees.Lighting
I composed this image in the hope of capturing a bright shot of the Washington monument and the trees in the park near it. I nearly let my camera touch a puddle on the ground while I tried to get a shot of the pebbles and the lake.Equipment
I used my Sony A7 111 and with that I used my 25-75 mm which is how I got my range.Inspiration
What inspired me to take this photo is that I my mother who passed away 2 months ago always wanted to come to Washington D.C. just to see the Washington monument and she couldn't. So, I in her stead captured photos so that she can see them every day in heaven.Editing
I bumped up my exposure and added more clarity. With the color of the photo I made the lake a blue color and the trees have more chlorophyll. In my camera bag
I usually have 2 lenses, my camera, a charging bank just in case something happens, a lens cap, and a cleaner for my lens.Feedback
Go low to the floor and aim directly straight and compose your image correctly. If you do that then you should have it.
