Location
I took this photo in Virginia at a botanical garden. At dusk.Time
At dusk while the sun was setting I bent down and captured this rose.Lighting
I only used the lighting from the sun and in post processing I bumped up the exposure.Equipment
This was shot with a sony A7 111. Along with my 25-75 mm lens. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I was looking for a very nice and un weathered looking rose. I wanted to create a soft and smooth picture featuring the rose. Also my daughter really is in love with the flower.Editing
I had to develop the raw once and I then proceeded to edit the photo on light room. I wanted a soft and unrealistic looking rose that didn't look like a rose. I messed with the colors and the contrast. In my camera bag
I always pack my sony A7 111, extra batteries, chargers for my batteries, and if needed I'll bring along my Nikon D7100.Feedback
Try to envision your photo as a painting. Make it as unrealistic and majestic as possible and then tone it down.
