This is such a sweet photo of Dozer. It reminds me of my Winchester. He passed away this summer, but he always rested his head on his favorite toy just like that.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken inside my home, in the entryway to the kitchen from the dining room.

Time

Late morning, nearing the noon lunch hour.

Lighting

All lighting was from windows letting in sunlight and the lighting in the kitchen.

Equipment

My cell phone.

Inspiration

Dozer takes this stuffed puppy everywhere with him, as it is his absolute favorite toy. When I saw him using it like a pillow, he just looked so cute I had to capture the moment.

Editing

None.

In my camera bag

Normally I would use a Canon T7, with a 18-135mm lens, along with in my gear bag a 50mm lens, a 55-250mm Canon IS lens, a 75-300mm lens, and a 500mm lens available. The rest of my bag packed gear are a master camera mounted flash, 3 radio slave flash with receivers, a separate Sony video camera, a flashlight, a radio that can receive weather, rail, and aircraft frequencies, a rain poncho, sunscreen, a bottle of water, a lightweight jacket, and extra batteries for all equipment. My cell phone is always on me as a emergency back-up camera, or for unplanned shots like this one.

Feedback

In this case, simply be ready for a candid photo at any given time, and be observant. If I was not ready for this spur of the moment capture, I would have missed it.
