I was out for an early morning photo shoot at a local pond, hoping for a nice sunrise and maybe a few birds. The sunrise wasn't what I had hoped and the birds were all on the other side of the lake, too far away. I loaded up my gear and started driving around, seeing if I could find anything to photograph, when I came upon this doe. She was browsing through a pasture, right at the edge of Lions Park, in Temple, Texas, but I waited until she made her way into a cove of trees, into the shade, where it looked like she was in a deep forest.
