Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a small canal that surrounds the town of Bunschoten in the Netherlands. Because the canal is crossing meadows, there are many birds to be found.

Time

It was at the end of the day, near to the completion of my hike.

Lighting

The sun was low and tempered, no extra light source was needed.

Equipment

My Canon EOS RP, with a Tamron 18:400 mm. lens.

Inspiration

The wind was troubbeling the water a bit and the sun was throwing nice shadows on it. The geese saw me approaching and swam away while looking backwards. This, and the reflections on the water, triggered me to make this shot.

Editing

I changed from landscape format into portrait.

In my camera bag

My camera, spare battery and cleaning stuff.

Feedback

Go out for a hike with your camera, look at the nature, and shoot!
