Behind The Lens

Location

My Dad and I were riding a ferry in Galveston, Texas.

Time

It was getting close to sunset.

Lighting

The softer light coming from the sun setting reflected nicely off the water without being too overpowering.

Equipment

I just used my Nikon D750 and my 24-85mm lens.

Inspiration

I loved seeing the seagulls fly around with such ease and grace that I wanted to capture it.

Editing

Yes, I played around with the coloring, saturation, lighting, and contrast.

In my camera bag

Usually, it’s just my Nikon D750 body and my 24-85mm lens.

Feedback

Spend time around the ocean (take a boat ride if possible) and if there are any birds in flight, use a high shutter speed to capture a crisp photo for a similar look.
