Location
This panoramic was taken last Fall and it began as 3 photos. It is in Grand Ledge, Michigan.Time
This photo was an afternoon photo on my way home from Lansing, Michigan. I stop here to view the ducks and geese.Lighting
The sun was out but not real bright with shadows and I liked the Fall colors and the 3-D looks from the front to the back.Equipment
This was taken with my Canon 5D Mark11 and with my Canon 24-70 2.8 zoom lens, hand held, no tripod.Inspiration
The view is quite picturesque and I thought that a panoramic was in order to capture the amount of subject matter in the photo.Editing
As stated, the panoramic began with 3 photos and I used photoshop CS-4 to merge the 3 photos. I may have lightened some areas that appeared dark to enhance the Fall colors, otherwise nothing else was done to photo. In my camera bag
I have an assortment of many lens, zoom and standard lens as 14MM wide angle. I used my 24 to 70MM zoom here but I also had a 70-200 2.8 IS lens and numerous filters and a flash, 580 Canon speedlite which was not used. Ihave a long zoom lens a 150mm to 500mm Sigma lens with a 1.4 tele-extender that I left home.Feedback
I liked the lighting when I showed up to view this area, sometimes mornings are better it all depends on the sun, the clouds and the intensity of light. When you are 60 miles away then I suggest that you take the photo and use different shutter speeds or F-stops to capture the photo and deal your best with photoshop or what ever program you use to make the photo better, if needed...
