Behind The Lens

Location

I was strolling along a refurbished warehouse area in Athens, GA on a Sunday when I came upon this inquisitive little fellow in a closed storefront window.

Time

I'd say late morning; as the shop cat he/she was equally curious about my curiosity.

Lighting

Pretty much in indirect light, shot through a plain window glass; almost created a natural black and white light scene.

Equipment

Mid level android camera phone

Inspiration

I am always looking for interesting scenarios for image creation. I like to see the cool potential in the everyday. Could have walked by this window cat but struck up enough interest from him/her to come over and look me eye to eye..

Editing

Very little...the light and interior color through the window made for a natural black and white setting. Ramped up the white points some and increased the shadow/ blackpoint ratio a touch.

In my camera bag

Most of my images are captured while on walk-a-bout so, camera phone. I should probably have better equipmen but....

Feedback

Always look for the artistically creative cool in the most ordinary and mundane settings. Frame the seemingly unframable in your own vision.
