Hi, the "minimalist" aspect of this composition is quite appealing to me. I like the composition, including the small branch in the UL corner, since it mimics the green frame. I'll just offer that I'm really fussy...perhaps excessively so, some would say...to axes...vertical and/or horizontal. So this great image would be improved in my eyes by being tipped very slightly down on the left corner of the window frame to make the ledge perfectly horizontal. It's very close, but I was aware of the "tipping." Another thing that my Photoshop Elements editing would provide me in working with this shot would be the vertical and horizontal perspective tools, which might bring the top edge of the window forward a bit, for example. I've found that playing in this way with shots, I've been much more satisfied with an image. Wonderful eye to see the potential in your "close-to-home" vision...great to find finds in our own immediate environment! Happy shooting! Mike

I am so happy when some one finds my pictures appealing. I think you are right about the tilting both ways. This window is actually not that level in real life. Part of the reason it looks tilted backward is due to it being a very high up window and I was standing on the ground. This house was built by amatures just after the second world war and everything in this house is a little out of square and level. So, it may actually partly be because it is not level in real life. This picture was taken by me just as a quick snap to show the progress I had made when I sanded it down and repainted it and I had also fixed some very big chunks that were missing out of the plaster work around it. But then I liked the picture and had a couple of people comment on it so I included it here. I should have included a before and after picture. I mostly leave pictures just as I click them but have been recently experimenting with some programs that allow me to correct things a little . I have several pictures on VB that are a bit tilted. Perhaps it's me that's tilted a little and it comes through in my pictures. ;) . I am leaning more all the time. Oops I mean learning more all the time. Thanks so much for your interest.
