I took this photo in Western Oregon in an area that has unfortunately been recently ravaged by wildfires. I saw this section of the river through the trees as I was driving home form work in Eastern Oregon and new I had to pull over and explore a little bit. The way the golden light from the setting sun reflected off the water is what really drew me in to this shot and inspired me to take it. To take the shot, I had to wade out to almost waist deep in the water, set up my tripod (all while not slipping)! and line up the photo the way I wanted. I took a longer exposure so that the water over the rocks would be slightly blurred.
