I want to thank everyone who voted for my photo, it means the world to me and very humbling. I'm so impressed with Viewbug and the talented photographers who contribute to making this site the best in photography I've ever encountered

Location
IN February of 2006, I was approached by Ford management and asked if I would like to do a photo session in their casting plant located in Windsor Ontario, Canada. The plant was being scheduled to be torn down and the end of the cast iron age. I jumped at this opportunity because the photos would be historical in nature and a small part in Ford Motor's history and a record of the past. This photo is one of many I took that day and can be viewed on my website.Time
The photo was taken inside an industrial casting plant after the noon lunch break and is one of my favorite photos.Lighting
First, I used a Nikon D70S 6megapixel and Flash,strobe returnEquipment
Camera was hand held, Nikon D70s, the photo was shot at F5.6, 1/60, 62 mm and flash with available light.Inspiration
Yousuf Karsh inspired me, he photographed employee's working in one of the auto plants for Ford back around 1953 and I was fortunate to photograph the casting plant.Editing
Oh yes, I used Photoshop and Topaz Labs for that extra wow !!In my camera bag
Today I have a travel suit case with two camera body's and 4 lens covering from 10mm to 600mm so I'm prepared for just about anything I want to photograph. I have extra batteries ( rechargeable ) chargers, flash and accessories, plastic bag in case it rains, extra memory cards and tripod.Feedback
