Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in a town garden of Prague. My macro lens was ready and I was just looking for a pretty flower.Time
The photo was taken on Saturday, August 15, 2020, 16:22, CEST.Lighting
The lighting was completely natural, with no artificial lights.Equipment
I used my camera, Sony ILCE 7M3, with the macro lens Sony 90/2.8. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
My original idea and goal, when visiting the garden, was to shoot some beautiful flowers because the place is well-known for them. I was almost about leaving the garden when I noticed a bug "investigating" a flower. It moved very slowly and since my camera was ready, I took a few photos of it.Editing
This kind of images usually requires some post-processing. In this particular case, I had to crop and rotate a bit the photo, and then to intensify slightly the colours. Fortunately, denoising of the image was not needed due to a very low ISO. As far as I remember, no other editing was necessary. In my camera bag
I use Sony A7III as my main camera and also some Sony lenses. Particularly, Sony 24 - 70/2.8, 12 - 24/4, 100 - 400/4 - 5.6, ZA 50/1.8 that form my basic equipmentFeedback
Well, macro photography is quite special, almost "scientific" disciplin that requires patience and precision. Use therefore your own equipment that you know very well! You will save a lot of time when working on your photos.
