Years ago, before I was able to use a dslr camera, I was shooting on my grandfathers Minolta Maxxum 7000. 35mm, 400 speed film, with his Quantray 75-200mm f2.8-3.5 lens. This was a pull-zoom lens, and manual focus. The Maxxum 7000 had the clout at the time for being the first camera body to offer a fully automated shooting experience, which many these days take for granted. I'm lucky I was able to dig this shot up for this contest. I'm also reminded of what it was like to shoot a whole roll of film and have to wait on development to see how you did. None of this, shoot-review-adjust-shoot stuff happening now. It was much more "from the hip" and "go with your gut." Well, and training and experience too. Enjoy the first of my throwback B&W series.
